2016-2017 Concert Series

About Our Series

"If you missed The Copper Street Brass Quintet last week then you missed a lot...they blew the roof off the place!"

Faulk County Register

Copper Street Brass’s 2016-17 Twin Cities Concert Series features three fun, entertaining, and diverse shows. “Sounds of the Cinema” in October 2016, “Christmas on Copper Street” in December 2016, and “British Invasion” in March 2017. This concert series highlights the CSB’s unique music at various venues around the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. These concerts are designed to highlight the versatility of what we do as the Copper Street Brass, from classic movie music to familiar holiday tunes to pop and rock music of the Beatles and the Who.

The music arrangements we create allow us to perform not only on brass but also on piano, guitar, drums, and electronics to connect with our audiences and highlight each concert’s unique theme. Whether it’s music for movies, a holiday concert, or an tribute to music from overseas, there’s something for everyone!

Thank you for the outstanding performance!  People are still talking about it!  Words cannot effectively describe the joy and high musicianship we experienced with the concert by The Copper Street Brass.  The program had ultimate variety and musicality, and was enjoyed by all who attended.

What People Say About our Concerts

Beyond good stage presence and an engaging rapport with the audience, this group is seriously good. The ensemble is tight, and pitch-perfect. Everyone blends well, and it is clear the musicians enjoy playing together.

Open Rehearsals are casual events that you can feel free to attend for the entire time or stop in when your schedule permits. We’re planning on talking with you about what we’re working on, explaining how our rehearsals work and asking for your feedback on new music we’re working on. We’ve scheduled two in the afternoons and two in the mornings and we’ll provide coffee and other light snacks. Be ready for a good laugh - that always happens a few times in CSB rehearsals!

Happy Hour events give us a chance to get to know you without the horn on our face! We’re happy to hang out and chat about music, family, the weather…whatever! We’d just love to see you there. These events are limited to the first 20 people, so if you want to come be sure to register online.

You are welcome at any and all events and please bring as many friends as you like. We ask that you register online (the same way you purchased tickets if you bought online) so that we can plan for how many folks are coming. Questions? Contact us anytime! We’re looking forward to seeing you soon!
